A Recent Kitchen Project by Entire Electrics

We were recently asked to complete some work for a customer, quite a big job in fact, at their new home which they were doing quite a lot of renovation work on. Their home was built in 1901 and we in need of some TLC, as well as some new wiring!

We completed a full re-wire of their home; installing new cabling, fitting new back boxes for all sockets and switches, rewiring for all power and lighting circuits and smoke alarms, TV, telephone and aerial sockets and alarm and outdoor lighting. All in all a pretty big job.

The main part of their renovation was the kitchen, where they were knocking down a supporting wall and opening up the dining room and kitchen all in to one big space. Working closely with the builders on site, we were able to have a good relationship and get the new work done that they needed quickly and efficiently.

Once the work of the wall was done, we were able to get in an start with the new wiring. New wiring was needed for spotlights in the ceiling of the kitchen around the new velux windows, as well as sockets around the kitchen (7 doubles in total, one being a USB socket) and wiring for appliances. The home owners also asked for under-unit lighting for the kitchen benches, so we did this with an LED light strip which was wired to the main light switch of the room too. Much of the work was done before the new kitchen was fitted, but we had to also wait for other bits to be done once the kitchen was in place.

A big, exciting project for us to do but we were really pleased with the end product, as were the home owners!

“We’re over the moon with how the kitchen turned out. Entire Electrics were really helpful from start to finish and were able to help with the products we needed and gave us plenty of options. The work has been completed to a really high standard and it’s a room we love being in, especially with the under unit lighting giving it a really warm and lovely feel. The work completed around the rest of the house was also to a high standard and completed quickly by the friendly team. We’d have no hesitation in using Entire again and would recommend them hugely!”

Take a look below at some of the photos from start to finish and the work we completed.

After the work of the wall being knocked down, we added wiring for the new spotlights, sockets and appliances.

Kitchen units in situ, and spotlights fitted, brushed chrome sockets and appliances in place. Once the units were finished and kick-boards in, we were able to attached the under unit lighting strips which gave a warm glow to the room.

Starting to feel a lot more finished and homely with the gloss white cupboards and kitchen necessities in place. Nice warm glow with the under unit lighting.
