What does it mean to be NAPIT and TrustMark approved?

Entire Electrics are proud to be able to say that we’re both NAPIT accredited and recognsied by TrustMark, but what exactly does that mean? Hopefully the below will help you to understand a little more.

NAPIT

NAPIT, short for National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers, is a leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme. There are currently more than 10,000 NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets.

As a NAPIT registered electrical installer, it ensures that our customers are paying for work completed by competent electricians who are committed to quality, safety and customer care. NAPIT certificated scheme members have demonstrated their competence, they hold the necessary insurances and have the right processes and procedures to assure compliance.

NAPIT registered installers are:

  •  Able to complete work safely and to legally required standards
  •  Regularly assessed to ensure their ongoing competence
  •  Capable of working to the very latest health and safety regulations
  •  Able to provide you with the necessary certificates to demonstrate the regulatory compliance of the work they do. These certificates may be requested by tenants, insurance providers and solicitors and may be needed if you are looking to let or come to sell your property.

Responsibility for compliant and safe work is down to us, but NAPIT’s role is to monitor each scheme member such as Entire Electrics, and audit that we are fulfilling this responsibility. Installers do not carry out work on behalf, or under the control, of NAPIT and the extent to which inspections and audits are carried out is determined by the various scheme owner organisations.

TrustMark

TrustMark is the only Government endorsed scheme for trades in and around the home. They award registered firms with their accreditation after thorough vetting and on-site inspections to ensure we are raising industry standards.

This accreditation gives customers reassurance of quality and protection from rogue traders. TrustMark is the only ‘find a tradesperson’ scheme to cover all 3 cornerstones of quality:

  • Good trading practices
  • Good customer service
  • Technical competence

Our customers can feel confident in the knowledge that all we commit to working to Government endorsed standards and offer insurance protection, so you are still protected should we ever cease trading.
